Christmas Cards

I am trying to type up our Christmas letter to send out to family and friends, and I thought I'd make it a little different this year. I asked McKinlee what she has been doing this year, and this is what she had to say:

I love the Gospel, and I love Jesus, and I love playing with my friends. I really love to say my prayers.

Isn't it funny the things that kids come up with! So I decided to ask her a few questions that I found on my friends blog:

What does mommy always say to you?

”No picking my nose!” (she has a bad habit we are REALLY trying to break!)

What makes mommy happy?

”When I don’t pick my nose”

What makes mommy sad?

"When I don’t do something"

How does mommy make you laugh?

"When you splash in the water"

What was mommy like when she was little?

"You liked cars"

How old is mommy?

"4"

How tall is mommy?

"Way tall"

What does mommy like to do?

"Play tag"

What is something mommy doesn't like to do?

"Take a shower" (Honestly I love my showers!)

What does mommy do for a job?

"Play Frisbee"

What is mom's favorite food?

"Potatoes" (not really)

What do mommy and McKinlee like to do together?

"Dance to high school musical"

How do you know mom loves you?

"Way Big"

It was fun to get her responses! Aslo speaking of Christmas cards, would you all give me your address? Merry Almost Christmas!

ELLEN!

WARNING: Post overload!
It has taken me quite a while to update my blog, so now here is an overload! I had such a fun 24 hours! After the premier of TWILIGHT where I got home at 2:30 in the morning, I woke up a couple hours later (of course my kids had a rough night that night!) and headed to Las Vegas to see the Ellen DeGeneres show! My friend Suzie got the tickets, and I was lucky to go with her, Nicole, and Holly! And my sweet husband took the day off of work to watch the kids so I could go. It was so much fun! We went shopping at my new favorite store, H&M I love their clothes and they are pretty affordable! We shopped for a little while, and then went and ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was way yummy! That took longer than we had anticipated, so we had to bust it to Caesars Palace for the show! We couldn't find a parking spot anywhere, and were stressing we'd be late, and they'd give our tickets to someone else! So we took a picture of the tickets, in case we missed out! But luckily we found a parking spot, and RAN, to get in line. As we were in line, a lady came up to us and told us to come here. She asked to see our tickets, and then asked if we wanted better seats! Our tickets were in the balcony, and she gave us fourth row tickets! It was so awesome! Our seats were a little split up, and Suzie got to sit on the FRONT ROW! (these next pictures are with my camera phone because we couldn't take cameras in the show! I'm sneaky)

Bette Midler, an illusionist, and PINK were on the show! It was so much fun! I even snapped a picture of Ellen, but I was a little nervous they'd take my phone away like in school!

Afterwards we just drove home, we were all exhausted from the night before! Thanks so much Suzie for the tickets! Watch the show MONDAY AT 4:00, you might see me for a couple seconds! And also a little note to Nicole, who is moving from Cedar today! It was so much fun to be with you these past couple of days! I will miss you living so close, but we'll still get together! Good luck with the move! Thanks for being such a great friend!

TWILIGHT!!!!

Yes, the much anticipated TWILIGHT has arrived! And us CRAZY moms went to the midnight show on Thursday! And of course we had to make shirts to remember the fun night! It was a blast! We went to dinner at Chili's first, and I had these gross nachos, but that's alright, Cindy shared her meal with me! Then we went and waited in the LONG line! Yes people started lining up for the movie Thursday morning, even though we all had already bought our tickets! When we got there at 10:00 PM the line was already crazy! And it was COLD! But we had fun in line, and they let us in at 10:45 for the PARTY! So funny, they had sets up for people to take Prom pictures (they encouraged people to dress in their formals, but our shirts were our dresses!) So we had to get a couple group shots!
The cheesy city of Forks sign!
Nicole, Shanette and I-ROCK ON!
We had a lot of time to spare before the movie, and it was so fun to just hang out and chit chat!Me, Nicole, and Joanna. It was such a fun GIRLS NIGHT! Thanks everyone for sucha fun night! Oh ya, the movie! I loved the movie, a few things kinda bothered me! I had "my Edward" already pictured in my mind, and this actor wasn't him. But Bella was great, and I LOVED James. I'm curious what others thought of the movie. I guess I kinda had high expectations, and it didn't quite meet them.....BUT I had a blast!

Happy Halloween!

OK so Halloween was about a month ago, and I am finally getting around to blogging about it! I usually don't dress up for Halloween, and this year I had 3 different costumes! Yes, I did say 3! I was a corpse bride for our bunco party, (pictures previously posted!) a nun for our young women's activity with my neighbor Emily.... and for our friends couples Halloween party I was a pregnant cheerleader and Jordan was my football jock boyfriend who knocked me up! He He! We won best costume! It was such a fun party with great company! We played the funnest games, and laughed and laughed! Here are the great costumes! Nicole and Jason dressed up as each other, and they looked hilarious!Cindy was a great Hunter with antlers!Leilani and Krista were Sam's polygamist wives!
Brent and Shanette were a cute medieval couple.
Sharina and Matt
Stacia and cute Taylee
Natalie and Jake were hilarious! Loved the bombs!
It was a great Halloween, and it was so fun to take the kids trick-o-treating. McKinlee was a sweet little Tinkerbell, isn't she so cute! Thanks Nana for the costume!Hunter was a frog
He didn't like his costume very much!
It is so fun at Halloween time having kids! After trick-o-treating we went to our ward Halloween party. It was a great night! Happy Halloween (a little late!)

Mommy and Kinlee Date!

I forgot to mention the fun night that McKinlee and I had last week....we went to the OPENING NIGHT OF
I had been telling McKinlee for weeks that we would go the day that the movie came out. Jordan got home too late for us to go to the matinee, so we went to get tickets for the 7:00 show, and it was sold out! McKinlee started crying, and was completely broken hearted. I told her we could go the next day, and she just cried. So being the softy that I am, I bought tickets for the 9:20 PM show! I know McKinlee is only 3, but LOVES High School Musical. So my friend Nicole and I took our daughters to the movie, and it was hilarious! We were the oldest ones in the theatre, and were with a bunch of high school girls, drooling over TROY. Everyone in the theatre screamed, and clapped whenever he came on the screen. But McKinlee was in heaven! She LOVED the movie, and actually stayed awake the whole time! I felt a little OLD, but it brought me back to my good old high school days! It was such a fun night, our little date night.
McKinlee wanted to take some pictures before our date! She is growing up so fast! And yes I did buy her the CD, and she already has most of the songs memorized! This girl loves to sing! And is amazing how fast she learns songs!

I'm Back!

OK so I have the sweetest husband in the world! Wasn't that the cutest post! I was very impressed, and thought that it was so sweet! I had a great birthday, thank you for all of your comments! Jordan was up very late the night before making me chocolate covered strawberries, and an amazingly decorated birthday cake! He even used my new pampered chef decorating tools! What a great husband! Jordan made me strawberry shortcakes for breakfast, and we just hung out that morning. That night my great neighbor Leilani watched the kids so we could go on a date. It was fun to have a date just the 2 of us! And the best present, I finally got a new camera! I am so excited, now I just need to figure out how to use it! I'm way excited! So it was a great day! Jordan and the kids made it very special!
But other than my birthday, it's been a while since I have posted anything. We had our first snowfall, and I wasn't very thrilled! McKinlee on the other hand, couldn't wait to play in it. Infact she begged Daddy into building a snowman with her!.....I know it's tiny!

She was so excited! She kept eating the snow, and I wouldn't be surprised if she ate more grass than snow, because there really wasn't that much snow!

Man I miss being a kid, the smallest things excite them! But life is good, and busy! I'll post Halloween pictures as soon as I figure out how to download pictures from my new camera!

Happy Birthday Keri!

I'm (Keri's husband) not exactly what you would call a big blogger, but I managed to hack into Keri's blog to make this post. I'm also not one for sappy public displays of affection. But for Keri's Birthday (FYI: 10/21/81) I'll make an exception. Who knew a handsome hick from Idaho would fall for a smokin hot little city girl? Maybe it was when she was standing right beside me, starlight on her hair, looking like a dream I dreamed somewhere! She had me acting just like a lover in an old time picture show, and how I got the part I just don't know. But it's written all across her face, plain as it can be, she's the one that I was looking for now she's all that I can see! You mean everything to me, and I'd do anything, to have you stay forever, I'm an ordinary man, but I feel like I could do anything in the world, When I look at you girl!!! (The best I can do is plagiarize some lyrics from the legend Chris Ledoux "Look at you girl"). That happens to be the song I played for her when I wanted her to know I wanted her! Anyways, Keri I want you to know how special you are to me and how much I love you! Thanks for being the best friend, wife, and mother I could ever have wanted!

If any of you know Keri at all, you know how much she loves her birthday. If you feel the need leave her a comment and wish her happy birthday!

Bunco Party!

I play in a BUNCO group, and this month being Halloween, we all dressed in our Halloween costumes! I am cheap as many of you know, so I had been thinking for quite a while what I could wear for the party, and not spend any money. I searched on the Internet for ideas, came up with ideas such as a buncha grapes, laundry basket, and all sorts of ideas, but with all of these ideas, I would still need to buy something. So I looked in my closet......and low and behold I found a white nightgown my mom had given me when I got married. Honestly I hadn't worn it for a while, so I called my mom to see how she would feel. Of course being the awesome mom that she is, she said she didn't care what I did with it, if I could make good use of it, go ahead. So I decided to be a dead bride. First I ran over the nightgown in my car, hoping to rough it up a little, but that didn't do a thing. Jordan said the neighbors were going to think I was crazy running over what looked like a wedding dress! HE HE So as I was at the store, Jordan roughed it up for me. So here are the results....

I thought about fixing my red eyes, but it makes it look a little more creepy!

I cut the veil out of the back of the cover of the nightgown. My hair was pitch black, and I had to wash it about 5 times to get it out! McKinlee took a LONG nap yesterday and woke up right before I left, and she was afraid of me. She asked me what I was, and I wasn't sure how to tell a 3 year old I was acting like a dead person, so she just told me I looked like the sea witch on The Little Mermaid. But she wouldn't even give me a kiss! (I wonder why)

I thought I was pretty original with my idea, but I guess Shanette and I thought the same!

Nicole the tooth fairy (everything is her daughters!)

Natalie and Stacia

Leilani, me, and Nicole

Here's the winner, Kim, the Polygamist! It was crazy how much she REALLY looked like one! Notice how she is nursing a baby, holding a baby, and pregnant! Pretty funny!

Here is the group of us. Everyone dressed up so fun, I was impressed with all of the great ideas! The party was a huge success, thanks Shanette for throwing a great BUNCO party!
