Merry Christmas to our troops

I just wanted to post this video that my little brother Ty told me about. I think this little girl is like 6 years old. It's amazing! When I watched it, it made me cry. I also wanted to send my thoughts and prayers with our troops over seas. May we all keep them and their families in our prayers this holiday season. Support our troops and Merry Christmas!

"O Christmas Tree"

So this year we were a little adventurous and cut down our own Christmas tree. As we were driving, McKinlee was so excited, especially to be riding in Daddy's pickup. We looked for a while, until we saw the perfect tree. Jordan cut it down, (it was covered with snow) and we brought it home. We decorated it a little as a family, but ran out of lights. So the next day while McKinlee and Hunter were both asleep, I finished decorating the tree. It took me almost 2 hours. But I'll just say that our perfect tree isn't so perfect. As I put the last ornament on the tree, it started leaning toward me. I went to catch it, but it kept falling, and fell completely on me! It was too heavy for me to catch! I was covered in sap and my hands felt like they had needles in them. I tried to put it back upright, but I couldn't. So I called Jordan at work and I was partially crying and hysterically laughing. After Jordan knew I was alright, he laughed so hard.

He came home shortly after to help me with this mess. A lot of the ornaments broke, and McKinlee was pretty upset that it was on her doll. But I wish I would've had a camera when the tree was on top of me! So here it is all put together again.

So in the spirit of Christmas a wise man once said, "The most enduring traditions of the season are best enjoyed in the warm embrace of kids and kin. This tree is a symbol of the spirit of the Griswold family Christmas." -Clark W. Griswold
"Little full.....looks great....lot of sap in here." -Clark W. Griswold
Merry Christmas!

Continuation of the CRAZY 3 WEEKS

So I wasn't able to finish explaining why we had such a crazy 3 weeks because McKinlee woke up from her nap and needed extra attention so I couldn't finish blogging!
So after our wonderful Thanksgiving in Idaho, we drove to Salt Lake and Jordan left for Phoenix Arizona for a 2 week training for his job. McKinlee, Hunter, and I decided to stay at my parents house for the 2 weeks. It was hard having Jordan gone, luckily I have a wonderful family who helped me out so much! But I was able to fly down to Arizona with Hunter for a couple of days and be with Jordan. While I was there we went to the Mesa Temple.

It was crazy seeing the temple in December with Christmas lights on palm trees and cactus. But it was beautiful.

Well the next day we kinda did something on the spur of the moment, and went to an NFL Football game. The Arizona Cardinals played the Cleveland Browns.

Yep Hunter went to his first NFL game!

And he practically slept through the whole thing!

They gave him ear plugs to help with the noise, but they really didn't stay in his ears. It was a lot of fun! I guess we'll make a habit of going to NFL games because last year we went to the Chicago Bears game. But I have to admit that the Bears game was a lot more fun! Go Bears!

CRAZY 3 WEEKS!!!

So for the past 3 weeks, we have been away from our home....and I haven't been able to update our blog! So much has happened, since I last posted. First of all we blessed Hunter in church. It was such a neat experience. Jordan gave him a beautiful blessing, and is such a great dad. It was so nice to have the love and support of our family. We are so lucky to have such a great family. Hunter was a champ and didn't make a peep in the blessing. He looked pretty cute in his blessing outfit.

After the blessing, McKinlee went home with Grandma & Pa to Idaho for a couple days until we got up there for Thanksgiving. I don't think Grandma & Pa knew what they were getting into! But I know McKinlee had a lot of fun with them, seeing the cows and horses and playing with uncle Austin and her cousins. I don't think RayAnne knew she would be babysitting her whole Thanksgiving break! But we had a lot of fun with our family. I love Thanksgiving and thinking of all the blessings in my life. I have an AMAZING husband and two of the cutest kids. We are blessed to have the great family we have. I am also so thankful for my testimony. I don't know where I'd be without the gospel in my life. I truly am blessed.
