Our backyard

I have to post about the progress that we have made in our backyard! Thanks to my wonderful husband, it is coming along! Saturday we layed half of our sod, and hopefully the rest will be layed this week. It is so weird to look outside and see grass. We even got our curbing done yesterday, and planted some flowers. I can't wait to be able to send McKinlee outside, and not worry about her running around the entire neighborhood. She was a little upset when the dirt mound was gone, she had made a mud slide out of it, I was happy to see it gone. Here are a few pictures of the progress....

McKinlee and Kyle were playing the the dirt, and I caught this picture of them laying in the dirt. Yard work wears it out of you!

First Fishing Trip of the Year

We finally went fishing with our good friends the Zufelt's. I have to admit that it was a lot easier going fishing last year when we only had one kid! But we had a lot of fun, and I was the only one who caught a fish! OK so my fishing consisted of casting out my pole, going over and playing with McKinlee and Hunter in the water, and Jordan yelling to me to come and reel in my pole because I caught one. Did I mention that I make Jordan bait my pole also! What a good husband I have!

Me with the only fish caught (MINE! He He)

Funny story about McKinlee....she has kinda been a wimp about certain things lately, namely bugs. So I took her to the bathroom (outhouse) and she about had a heart attack because there were flies in the outhouse. Jordan said he could hear her crying all the way at the lake. She even played with the worms all day. But when I caught the fish, she had no fear of touching or even kissing the fish.

You'd think that I learned my lesson last year, and would've known that McKinlee would get in the water, no matter how cold it was. Her pants were soaking wet, and of course she was freezing afterwards. So she got in her pajamas a little early. She had lots of fun playing with Kyle. (Leilani was smart to bring Kyle in shorts)

Visiting with more family!

We love to see our family! It's hard not living close to them, but it is a lot of fun when we visit. It was fun to see Mike and Kelly's new baby Cohen, he is so cute. Hunter is about 3 times the size of him, Cohen is just so skinny and little.
Nana loved to have 3 out of 5 grandkids all together.

Memorial Day

It's been a while!

Ok so it has been a while since I have written anything! Life has been a little crazy....but fun! Hunter got his first ear infection, which was a shocker because McKinlee has never had an ear infection. He is such a trooper, you wouldn't even know that he is sick. He has just been a little winy, and snugly, which I won't complain about! So here is a little catching up....

Memorial Day weekend we went to Carey Idaho to see family. It had been WAY TOO LONG since we had last seen them, and it was great to be together. McKinlee had lots of fun riding the 4-wheeler, playing with the animals, and playing with Grandma and Pa and aunts and uncles (thanks Austin for playing with her so much!) It was lots of fun, lets not make it so long before we see you again!

Carnival Fun

Saturday I took McKinlee to a little FREE carnival here in Cedar. She had so much fun, especially since it was "mommy and Kinlee special time!" She also had fun with some of her friends that were there. Daddy stayed home with Hunter because he has been sick and has an ear infection. But there was all sorts of fun things for her to do, she loved the bouncy toys (brought back memories of the Mommy Olympics and my road rash). She went to the top of the big slide, looked down the slide, and decided it was too big, and walked back down the stairs. It was pretty funny.I think the funnest thing was watching McKinlee try to hula hoop! She was pretty good at shaking her hips! But the hula hoop would fall right off her hips onto the ground. She even talked me into hula hooping with her.

She was so determined!

McKinlee and some of her friends.

I think my favorite part was the free stuff! Cotton candy, drinks, toothbrushes, and contact solution! I'm a sucker for a bargain, especially when it is free!

My Fire Fighter

Jordan had "fire school" this week for his job with the BLM. He needs to be certified to fight fires, so back to school he goes! I thought he was so cute in his uniform, so I made him let me take pictures of him. I tried to get him to smile normal in the pictures, but of course he had to be goofy. I'm so lucky to have such a great husband who works so hard to provide for our family! I'm proud of you hun!
